Autumn Apple Bread

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • cup sugar
  • 2 cup apple hunks
  • 2 cup sifted flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp lemon rind
  • cup nuts

Instructions

  • Cream butter, add eggs beating well
  • Sift flour and dry ingredients, add alternating with apples to egg mixture
  • Stir in lemon and nuts
  • Bake in greased loaf pan 350° for 1 hour
